Frequently asked questions:

When can I expect musicians to arrive?
Musicians will arrive at least 15-30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time.

How long will the ensemble play prior to the start of the ceremony?

We typically begin prelude music 30 minutes prior to the anticipated start time of the ceremony, however we realize that different settings allow for special times. Many of our outdoor weddings only require 15 minutes of prelude. We will customize to your events particular needs.

What will the ensemble play for prelude music?
We provide a vast assortment of musical selections appropriate for a wedding occasion including standard wedding pieces, light classical and romantic love songs.

We are happy to accommodate any special requests not found in our library. (Additional charge may apply). We ask that you provide any such requests at least two (2) weeks in advance, in order to ensure we are able to obtain the music and deliver a quality performance.

Who chooses the selections for the ceremony?
Prior to your event our manager from Musical Reflections will consult with you to select the most appropriate pieces for your occasion. This may include:

What should I expect to provide for the musicians?
The musicians of Musical Reflections take great pride in the care we deliver to our clientel. We understand that a wedding can be a very detail oriented event to plan, so we work to make sure that worrying about musicians is the last thing our clients have to deal with. We take care of most logistics, but there are a few things we do ask for to ensure a quality performance.
  • We In most circumstances, the ensemble requires a space of approvimately 8 ft. X 10 ft.
  • We require armless chairs equivalent to the number of musicians hired.
  • For beach events, we do require a plywood board or similar (8 ft. X 10 ft) in order to provide stability of music stands and instruments. (This will be well hidden under sand).
  • For any outdoor events we request firm, stable ground and shading if at all possible, to protect our instruments from intense sunlight.
  • In venues with dim lighting or during outdoor evening events, we will require an electrical outlet, but will provide our own lighting.

Is a deposit required and when is final payment due?
We require a deposit of 50% of the total balance at the time of signing to reserve your requested date and time. This is non-refundable. Special accomodations are available.
  • The remaining balance is due 2 weeks prior to your scheduled performance date.
  • We accept cash or checks made payable to Betsy Goode.
